AC Milan missed two penalties as they were held to a late 2-2 draw against Bologna at the Stadio San Siro in Matchday 22 of Serie A.

Bologna took the lead midway through the first half when Joshua Zirkzee drilled in a loose ball through goalkeeper Mike Maignan, but Milan wasted a glorious opportunity to level when Olivier Giroud‘s tame penalty was saved. The Rossoneri did level on the stroke of half-time thanks to a well-taken Ruben Loftus-Cheek goal.

With the match deadlocked, Milan wasted another penalty as Theo Hernandez struck the post and just as a late Loftus-Cheek header looked to have snatched the win, Bologna secured a point with a penalty of their own through Riccardo Orsolini.
