AC Milan have made a superb start to the 2023/24 Serie A season with six points from a possible six. The latest victory came against Torino in front of their own fans at San Siro and there were some great individual displays.

Many believe that the Rossoneri are going to end this season as the Serie A champions and whilst there is a huge number of games still to play, Stefano Pioli‘s side has certainly made a great start to proceedings.

With so many new players at the club, there was a chance that it would take a few games for Milan to hit their stride, but that is not proving to be the case. Here are three things we picked up on during the 4-1 win over Torino on Saturday night.

Pulisic is very settled at AC Milan

This is the early contender to be signing of the season. Christian Pulisic looks like a man who has been released from prison, the prison in this instance being Todd Boehly‘s Chelsea.

Having scored a superb goal against Bologna in the first match, he was a danger throughout against Torino. Despite playing on the right wing, he has a tendency to come into the middle and drive at the heart of defences.

With Milan having so many runners from midfield and full-back, Pulisic has so many options on both sides when he has the ball in the middle. The first goal came from this scenario, as the American drove at the defence and found Ruben Loftus-Cheek to his right. He got it back into the box for Pulisic to finish the move.

Loftus-Cheek’s influence grows

Going hand-in-hand with the great start that Pulisic has made, Loftus-Cheek showed how he can aid the Milan attack this season. He made multiple superb runs from midfield and was central to the first goal for Pulisic.

The way that he shifted his weight to get past Riccardo Rodriguez and into the box was seriously impressive and showed how intelligent he is. There is a lot of competition in midfield but Loftus-Cheek is making a great start to life in Milan.

Fourth goal allows new AC Milan depth to be exhibited

We all know that Milan have been the busiest team this summer in Serie A with a host of new players coming through the door, with the aim being to enhance the first team and also add more depth to what looked like a pretty light squad at times last season.

When the fourth goal went in, Stefano Pioli immediately took the chance to make a host of changes as he has the AS Roma match to think about next Friday. He was able to bring Yunus Musah, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze on, which is a much better situation than was the case last year.

The new players in the first team had done their job to get Milan ahead, and then other great players were able to come on and secure the points.
