AS Roma begin life under new coach Daniele De Rossi when they take on Hellas Verona at the Stadio Olimpico in Matchday 21 of Serie A.

The Giallorossi made headlines by sacking Jose Mourinho after a period of poor form and have handed the reins to former midfielder and captain De Rossi in an effort to salvage the season.

Verona will be looking to take advantage of the turmoil in the capital and pull themselves out of the relegation zone with victory.

AS Roma vs Verona: Predicted line-ups

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, De Rossi is set to afford Andrea Belotti a start in attack alongside Romelu Lukaku, and Paulo Dybala will drop in behind them.

Gianluca Mancini and Bryan Cristante are suspended and so Rasmus Kristensen will deputise at centre-back for the former, whilst Leandro Paredes and Lorenzo Pellegrini make up the central midfield.

Roma are without injured pair Tammy band Marash Kumbulla, with Chris Smalling still in doubt, whilst Evan Ndicka and Houssem Aouar are on international duty at AFCON. Forward Sardar Azmoun is also unavailable after being selected in Iran‘s Asian Cup squad.

Verona coach Marco Baroni has an almost fully fit squad at his disposal but Riccardo Saponara faces a late fitness test. The Gialloblu must do without suspended trio Darko Lazovic, Ondrej Duda, and Diego Coppola though.

Roma pair Kristensen and Paredes are one booking away from suspension, whilst Verona‘s Giangiacomo Magnani, Tomas Suslev, and Cyril Ngonge must also watch their step.

AS Roma predicted XI vs Hellas Verona (3-4-1-2): Rui Patricio; Huijsen, Llorente, Kristensen; Zeki Celik, Paredes, Pellegrini, Spinazzola; Dybala; Lukaku, Belotti.

Hellas Verona predicted XI vs AS Roma (4-2-3-1): Montipo; Tchatchoua, Dawidowicz, Magnani, Doig; Serdar, Folorunsho; Ngonge, Suslev, Mboula; Djuric.
