AS Roma vs Juventus: Preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online – Serie A 2023/24

With both AS Roma and Juventus in contention for Champions League spots, a victory for either side on Serie A Matchday 35 will bring them closer to clinching a place for 2024/25.

AS Roma will host Juventus at the Stadio Olimpico on Serie A Matchday 35, and a victory for either side would edge them closer to securing Champions League qualification for 2024/25.

The Giallorossi are fifth with 59 points and they are two points above Atalanta. Italy will have five representatives for the 2024/25 edition of Europe’s elite club competition, but victory for the Romans will help them thwart off any potential threat from La Dea.

Meanwhile, the Bianconeri are third in the Serie A table with have 65 points, and they have drawn their last three matches. Although they are eight points ahead of Atalanta, a win is still important for La Vecchia Signora if they are to avoid the unthinkable, and fail to qualify for the Champions League.

This will be another battle between old friends. Roma defender Dean Huijsen will be facing his parent club whereas Paulo Dybala and Leandro Paredes were Juventus players. Bianconeri goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny played for the Giallorossi from 2015 until 2017. Who will have the last laugh against their former employers?

AS Roma vs Juventus: Predicted line-ups

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma coach Daniele De Rossi will implement the 4-3-3 formation as he has done in previous matches. Huijsen is expected to start against his parent club ahead of Chris Smalling, and Romelu Lukaku should lead the attack with Dybala and Stephan El Shaarawy supporting the Belgian.

De Rossi has no injuries or suspensions to worry about, but Huijsen, Lukaku, Gianluca Mancini, and Sardar Azmoun are one yellow card away from bans.

Meanwhile, Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri will persist with the 3-5-2 formation, and he does not have any major absentees to worry about. Dusan Vlahovic and Mattia De Sciglio will be taking fitness tests prior to the match though, and Andrea Cambiaso and Timothy Weah are one yellow card away from being suspended.

AS Roma predicted XI vs Juventus (4-3-3): Svilar; Karsdorp, Mancini, Huijsen, Angelino; Bove, Paredes, Pellegrini; Dybala, Lukaku, El Shaarawy.

Juventus predicted XI vs AS Roma (3-5-2): Szczesny; Gatti, Bremer, Danilo; McKennie, Alcaraz, Locatelli, Rabiot, Cambiaso; Vlahovic, Chiesa
