Juventus will be taking on Lyon once again as they have been drawn against them in the UEFA Women’s Champions League group stage. AS Roma will have to navigate two games against VfL Wolfsburg.

Roma qualified for the group stage for the first time in their history last month as they got the better of Sparta Prague over two legs. They won the tie 6-2 on aggregate after coming from behind in the second leg at the Stadio Tre Fontane.

Juventus made it through once again by beating HB Koege 3-1 on aggregate. They reached the quarter-finals in last season’s tournament where they were beaten by eventual tournament winners Lyon.

Juventus face Lyon again whilst AS Roma play Wolfsburg

Juventus have been handed a very tough group in this season’s tournament as they will be taking on French champions Lyon and they will also have to play Women’s Super League giants Arsenal twice. The fourth team in their group is FC Zurich.

As for the Giallorosse, they may feel like they have more of a chance than they may have expected as the biggest team in their group is Wolfsburg, who Juventus managed to beat last season.

Roma will also be taking on Slavia Prague, making their second trip to the Czech capital in this tournament. The pot three team in their group is Austrian side SKN St. Polten.

It would be a remarkable story if Roma were to make it through to the quarter-finals during their first-ever attempt at the tournament but it will take some very big performances.
