AS Roma vs Red Bull Salzburg: Kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online

AS Roma will need to be more clinical than they were in the first leg against Red Bull Salzburg if they are to progress in the Europa League this season.

AS Roma were left reeling by a last-minute winner for Red Bull Salzburg in the first leg of their Europa League knockout round play-off last week as the Austrian side recorded a 1-0 win. The winning goal came from Nicholas Capaldo in the 88th minute and it sparked wild celebrations in Salzburg.

The Giallorossi felt they were very unlucky not to have won that game and they will have faith in their own ability to turn the tie around and make it into the Round of 16 in a tournament that Jose Mourinho takes very seriously.

Red Bull Salzburg will be a very tough opponent to beat by the necessary margin though as they were only narrowly knocked out of their Champions League group which contained AC Milan and Chelsea. Roma have become fairly adept at winning games 1-0 but they will need more than that to progress in the Europa League.

AS Roma vs Red Bull Salzburg: Predicted lineups

There are plenty of players that are touch and go for this return leg. Both Lorenzo Pellegrini and Paulo Dybala had to miss the Serie A victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday night through injury, whilst Tammy Abraham went off with a facial injury in that game.

It is expected that Abraham will return to face the Austrian side whilst Dybala should be passed fit to do the same. It could be harder for Pellegrini to return.

Bryan Okoh appears to be the only player that Matthias Jaissle will have to make do without for the second leg in which his side only needs to achieve a draw in order to progress.

AS Roma predicted XI vs Red Bull Salzburg (3-4-2-1): Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Zalewski, Cristante, Matic, Spinazzola; Solbakken, Dybala; Abraham.

Red Bull Salzburg predicted XI vs AS Roma (4-3-1-2): Kohn; Dedic, Solet, Pavlovic, Ulmer; Capaldo, Gourna-Douath, Seiwald; Sucic; Okafor, Fernando.
