AS Roma look to put their Derby della Capitale defeat behind them when they welcome struggling Sampdoria to the Stadio Olimpico in Matchday 28 of Serie A on Sunday. The Lupi saw their Champions League push halted against bitter rivals Lazio, but remain in the hunt for the top four.
Jose Mourinho‘s side have been unable to find consistency in recent weeks but will fancy their chances against the Blucerchiati, and know that a victory could see them move back into the top four.
Sampdoria, meanwhile, are enduring a miserable season and languish in 19th place, with their Serie A status hanging by a thread. They were aided by a 3-1 win over Hellas Verona before the international break though and will hope to pick up where they left off in Rome.

AS Roma vs Sampdoria: Predicted line-ups
As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, recent disciplinary concerns leave Roma light in defence, with Gianluca Mancini and Roger Ibanez banned after the loss to Lazio, whilst Marash Kumbulla remains banned.
Mehmet Zeki Celik is expected to drop into the back three alongside Chris Smalling, whilst Diego Llorente could make his first Serie A start after joining on loan from Leeds United in January. Midfielder Bryan Cristante is also banned, whilst the injured Rick Karsdorp could be out for the remainder of the season.
Sampdoria, meanwhile, are without Andrea Conti and Ignacio Pussetto through injury, whilst Emil Audero and Sam Lammers are doubts. Bram Nuytinck serves a suspension and is unavailable.
Only a booking away from suspension, Roma midfielder Nemanja Matic must tread carefully, whilst Sampdoria‘s Abdelhamid Sabiri is in the same position.
