AS Roma vs Spezia: Preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online

AS Roma must move on from their Europa League final defeat when they take on Spezia in the Serie A finale, with the visitors looking to secure their top flight status.

AS Roma must put their Europa League final heartbreak behind them as they conclude their season with the visit of Spezia to the Stadio Olimpico in Matchday 38 of Serie A on Sunday evening.

The Giallorossi fell to defeat in a penalty shootout against Sevilla in Budapest on Wednesday to miss out on a return to the Champions League, but only a win will guarantee them qualification to the Europa League next term.

For Spezia, the trip to the capital has their Serie A status riding on it, with the Aquilotti only sitting outside the relegation zone thanks to a superior head-to-head record over Hellas Verona. Indeed, Leonardo Semplici‘s side must match Verona’s result against AC Milan to secure safety.

AS Roma vs Spezia: Predicted line-ups

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Roma coach Jose Mourinho is suspended for the season finale, whilst the Lupi are unable to call upon the injured Marash Kumbulla and Rick Karsdorp.

Their team selection is expected to depend on fitness tests after a gruelling extra-time encounter against Sevilla, with Paulo Dybala and Tammy Abraham likely to be rested.

Spezia, meanwhile, are without Joao Moutinho, Julius Beck, Emil Holm, Jacopo Sala, Mattia Caldara, and Petar Zovko through injury. Ethan Ampadu will be monitored but is in line to start.

Roma trio Roger Ibanez, Lorenzo Pellegrini, and Dybala are all one booking away from a ban that would see them suspended for the opening match of next season, whilst Albin Ekdal and Emmanuel Gyasi are in the same position for Spezia.

AS Roma predicted XI vs Spezia (3-4-2-1): Rui Patricio; Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez; Missori, Bove, Camara, Zalewski; Pellegrini, El Shaarawy; Belotti.

Spezia predicted XI vs AS Roma (3-5-2): Dragowski; Wisniewski, Ampadu, Nikolaou; Amian, Bourabia, Esposito, Ekdal, Reca; Nzola, Gyasi.
