Atalanta and Gianluca Scamacca enjoyed a perfect night as they played at home for the first time in the 2023/24 Serie A season, beating Monza 3-0 at a Gewiss Stadium that remains under development.
Scamacca scored twice for the Nerazzurri to put them out of sight after Ederson had opened the scoring in the first half. The former Sassuolo forward powerfully headed in La Dea’s second of the night before firing in a low effort from outside the box for his second and Atalanta‘s third.
The win is Atalanta‘s second of the season after their opening-day win at Sassuolo and subsequent loss at Frosinone. Monza, meanwhile, sit on three points after three games having beaten Empoli and lost to Inter.
