Bayern Munich vs Lazio: Preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online – Champions League 2023/24

Lazio have got the advantage in their Champions League last 16 tie against Bayern Munich, and both sides come into the second leg in poor domestic form.

After Ciro Immobile’s decisive second-half penalty in the first leg of the clash, Lazio will travel to Germany to face Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening hoping to reach their first Champions League quarter-final in 20 years.

Thomas Tuchel is leaving the club at the end of the season, there are several injuries in the squad, and they are now a huge 10 points behind Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga title race.

As for Lazio, who won the first leg 1-0, their season is one that could go in either direction. They appear to be out of the top four race in Serie A, but going deep in the Champions League would cause immense excitement amongst the fanbase.

Bayern Munich vs Lazio: Predicted line-ups

After being sent off in the first leg, Tuchel will be without Dayot Upamecano for the second leg of this clash, and whilst the German giants were without Matthijs de Ligt in their draw with Freiburg on Friday, he should be back for this match.

The other point of interest will be Mathys Tel starting on Bayern’s right-hand side. Injuries to Kingsley Coman, Serge Gnabry and Leroy Sane mean that Tuchel’s options are slim, so Tel could be given another chance to impress.

Sarri once again comes into the match with no new concerns. Whilst his side’s defeat against AC Milan this weekend saw multiple dismissals, the suspensions only apply to Serie A, so they will all be available – and perhaps preferred due to their unavailability this weekend.

Bayern Munich predicted XI vs Lazio (4-2-3-1): Neuer; Kimmich, Kim, De Ligt, Davies; Pavlovic, Goretzka; Tel, Muller, Musiala; Kane.

Lazio predicted XI vs Bayern Munich (4-3-3): Provedel; Marusic, Gila, Romagnoli, Pellegrini; Guendouzi, Cataldi, Alberto; Anderson, Immobile, Zaccagni.
