Bologna 0-2 AC Milan: Goals, highlights and report – Serie A 2023/24

Olivier Giroud and summer signing Christian Pulisic got AC Milan's title challenge off to the perfect start with a 2-0 win over Bologna on Monday night in Emilia-Romagna.

AC Milan got their 2023/24 Serie A campaign off to the perfect start with a 2-0 away victory against Bologna at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara on Monday night.

Last season the side from Emilia-Romagna impressed under coach Thiago Motta, but the Rossoneri raced into an two-goal lead within 21 minutes with strikes from Olivier Giroud and debutant Christian Pulisic.

Coach Stefano Pioli will be keen to wrestle the Scudetto back from reigning champions Napoli and reiterated their title credentials after a number of arrivals this summer strengthen the squad at the Italian tacticians disposal. Bologna face another tough test when they travel to Juventus on Matchday 2.
