Serie A champions AC Milan were held to a surprise 0-0 draw away at top-flight newcomers Cremonese in Serie A Matchday 14 on Tuesday night, with Stefano Pioli’s side unable to overcome their opponents on the road in Lombardia.

No team has drawn more matches than Cremonese in Serie A this season, with them having been tied on six with Lecce ahead of the midweek Serie A fixtures, and their draw with the Rossoneri takes their tally of stalemates to seven for the 2022/23 season.

On what was Sandro Tonali’s 100th appearance for the Rossoneri, AC Milan were unable to continue their recent form and stuttered to an underwhelming draw in Cremona. The draw did, though, extend their run of not losing against newly-promoted Serie A sides – going unbeaten in 26 of their last 27 games against such sides. Their only loss came against Spezia in February 2021. They have won 19 and drawn seven of these games following the goalless draw at Cremonese.
