The 2022/23 season was a historic one for Napoli, finally getting their hands on the Serie A title for the first time in 33 years and winning their first scudetto without Diego Maradona. Soon after the title was wrapped up though, Partenopei fans were already fearing what was to come.

Luciano Spalletti confirmed his departure before the season even ended, and it didn’t take long before Europe’s biggest and richest clubs started sniffing around Napoli’s best players with a view to taking them away from Campania in the summer transfer market.

This article will be consistently updated throughout the 2023 summer transfer window to include every Napoli signing and sale, so save this to your bookmarks and check in on all of the comings and goings from the Italian champions.

As is the case all over Italy and indeed other countries as well, a number of players are returning to Napoli this summer having spent the 2022/23 season on loan elsewhere.

While new faces may well arrive, and will likely have to, Napoli’s early summer signings have seen players who were there on loan have their stays in Campania confirmed on permanent deals such as Giacomo Raspadori and Giovanni Simeone.

It took some time, but Napoli did bring in a new central defender as Natan Bernardo De Souza arrived from Red Bull Bragantino. Jens Cajuste then also arrived from Stade Reims. Walid Cheddira then signed from Bari, and was immediately loaned to Frosinone.

Although not a transfer, Luciano Spalletti’s exit from the bench might just be the hardest for Napoli to overcome, but a number of players are also set to follow their coach in heading out of the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona exit. Though not yet confirmed, there are reports that both Kim Min-jae and Piotr Zielinski could leave the club early in the window, with Stanislav Lobotka and countless others also attracting interest.

Not part of the title-winning squad, both Andrea Petagna (Monza) and Sebastiano Luperto (Empoli) have had their loan deals become permanent outgoing transfers.
