Inter 2-2 Bologna: Goals, highlights, and report – Serie A 2023/24

The Nerazzurri squandered a two-goal lead against Bologna but they were able to hold on for a point on Serie A Matchday 8.

Inter raced into an early lead, only for Bologna to come back and salvage a point in a 2-2 draw at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Serie A Matchday 8.

Francesco Acerbi was the unlikely goalscorer of the opening goal after a corner, then Lautaro Martinez doubled the scoring for the Nerazzurri with powerful shot from distance. Riccardo Orsolini pulled one back for the Rossoblu from the penalty spot, and the comeback was complete when Joshua Zirkzee equalised in the second half.

This draw sees Inter temporarily go above AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table with 19 points, albeit with the Rossoneri yet to play, and Bologna are now in eighth place with 11.
