Inter vs Cagliari: Preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online – Serie A 2023/24

Inter's charge towards the Serie A title continues on Matchday 32 with a home clash against Cagliari, who are still scrapping for important points in the relegation battle.

The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza welcomes back Inter on Sunday evening, with Cagliari hoping to disrupt the Nerazzurri’s Scudetto run-in on Serie A Matchday 32.

It took another late Davide Frattesi goal for Inter to win last time out against Udinese, but all that matters is the Nerazzurri are another three points closer to confirming their title.

After beating Atalanta last time out, Claudio Ranieri will be hoping his Cagliari side can make life difficult for their hosts at the Meazza on Sunday evening, and another point, or three, would be huge for their survival hopes.

Inter vs Cagliari: Predicted line-ups

There are expected to be wholesale changes in the Nerazzurri defence: Benjamin Pavard is suspended, so Yann Aurel Bisseck may start on the right of the trio, Francesco Acerbi remains in the middle, and Alessandro Bastoni on the left.

Matteo Darmian would likely be in line to start on the right of the back three, but he will displace Denzel Dumfries at wing-back, therefore, Bisseck will be given the nod for this clash. Changes are not limited to the defence though. With Lautaro Martinez suspended, Simone Inzaghi will have to choose between starting Alexis Sanchez and Marko Arnautovic – currently, the Chilean is preferred.

With Andrea Petagna injured, Ranieri faces a decision between Gianluca Lapadula and Eldor Shomurodov for who could lead the line. The veteran manager will also shift his midfield, given both Nahitan Nandez and Alessandro Deiola are suspended.

Inter predicted XI vs Cagliari (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Mkhitaryan, Calhanoglu, Barella, Dimarco; Thuram, Sanchez.

Cagliari predicted XI vs Inter (4-2-3-1): Scuffet; Zappa, Mina, Dossena, Augello; Makoumbo, Sulemana; Oristanio, Viola, Luvumbo; Lapadula.
