Sassuolo came from behind to claim an unexpected 2-1 win over Inter at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Serie A Matchday 7 thanks to a wonderful strike from Domenico Berardi.
Inter were seeing all of the attacking action in the first half and the pressure finally paid off when Denzel Dumfries‘ left-footed shot found the bottom corner of Andrea Consigli‘s goal. Sassuolo fought back though, with Nedim Bajrami equalising and then Berardi scoring a wonderful goal to make it 2-1 with half an hour to go.
It is a loss that halts Inter‘s winning streak in Serie A and leaves them level on points with AC Milan. Sassuolo have now beaten Juventus and Inter in a handful of days and move up to eighth.
