Serie A returned for 2023 in electric fashion on Wednesday, with 10 games being squeezed in. While the on-field action was excellent, the occasion was spoiled as Lecce’s Samuel Umtiti found himself on the recipient end of racist abuse from Lazio fans as the Salento side claimed a 2-1 comeback win over the Biancocelesti.

The biggest game of the day saw Inter end Napoli’s unbeaten start to the season, Juventus scraped a win at Cremonese, AC Milan won at Salernitana, AS Roma beat Bologna, and Atalanta had to come from two goals behind to draw at Spezia.

And, at the bottom, Sampdoria won a match! To chat through it all, Conor has Vito and Euan with him.
