The Italy Men’s National Team once again find themselves in an all-too-familiar position at the end of the 2024 European Championship qualification campaign, with their place at next summer’s tournament in Germany on the line with two fixtures remaining. If the Azzurri are to be one of the 24 teams competing at EURO 2024, they will have to successfully negotiate their way past North Macedonia and Ukraine during the November international window.
Spalletti has overseen four games with the Azzurri since taking over from Roberto Mancini as national team coach, and his record is relatively mixed despite the side looking better than they had under the current Saudi Arabia boss. In Spalletti‘s first game, Italy drew 1-1 with North Macedonia before beating Ukraine 2-1. They then comfortably beat Malta 4-0 and then lost 3-1 to England.
