Juventus might have conceded their first Serie A goal in six matches, but they left the Juventus Stadium with a valuable three points on Matchday 12 of the 2023/24 season, after a 2-1 win over Cagliari.
It was the contribution at the opposite end of the pitch from defenders Gleison Bremer and Daniele Rugani that secured the win for the Bianconeri. A goal each for the duo gave the hosts a two-goal lead, before a consolation strike from Alberto Dossena ensured a nervous finish in Turin.
The victory for Juventus adds to the excitement of the first Derby D’Italia of the campaign, which will be a top of the table clash between them and Scudetto rivals Inter on Matchday 13, once domestic action resumes after the international break.
