Juventus vs Empoli: Preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online – Serie A 2023/24

Juventus are currently sitting at the Serie A summit, but they face an Empoli side that have been galvanised by the arrival of Davide Nicola on Serie A Matchday 22.

Juventus team sitting at the top of the Serie A table will host an Empoli team full of confidence at the Allianz Stadium on Matchday 22. The Bianconeri are currently in first place with 52 points, albeit playing one more match than Inter, who participated and eventually won the Supercoppa Italiana.

La Vecchia Signora defeated Lecce 3-0 in the previous round of action with Dusan Vlahovic scoring twice. The Serbian striker has been in impressive form lately, currently sitting with 11 goals for the Serie A campaign so far, and Lautaro Martinez from Inter has scored more with 18.

Meanwhile, Empoli have replaced Aurelio Andreazzoli as coach with Davide Nicola, and the Azzurri began the Nicola era with an emphatic 3-0 victory against Monza. Szymon Zurkowski scored a hat-trick, and the Tuscans are sitting 19th on the table, just two points from safety.

On paper, Juventus should win comfortably. They have won their last seven competitive fixtures including their last five Serie A matches. However, Empoli have given the Bianconeri some difficulty in recent years.

The Azzurri won 1-0 in Turin early in the 2021/22 season, and smashed La Vecchia Signora 4-1 late in the 2022/23 campaign in Tuscany. This is one match in which Juve need to live up to their motto, “Fino alla fine,” or “Until the end.”
