Juventus transfers: Chelsea remain interested in Vlahovic, Sevilla striker a potential replacement

There could still be a big departure at Juventus in the shape of Dusan Vlahovic, with the likes of Chelsea and Bayern Munich in the frame. The replacement for the Serbian could be in La Liga.

In the Dusan Vlahovic saga, many things are still yet to be decided. That being said, it seems most likely that the Serbian leaving will be Juventus this summer.

There are still scenarios where the striker stays, but with interest in the striker ever-present and both the player and the agent seemingly open to a move, it seems as though a move away from Turin could be more likely.

A fairly quick resolution will be desired by all parties given that pre-season is getting underway and it is easier for all involved to know where the Serbian striker is going to be playing next season.

Following the back of what can only be considered a disappointing campaign for the 23-year-old, he will be keen to build upon his performances and as such has been remaining busy during the off-season. Whilst he didn’t compete for Serbia in June, he has trained consistently and will be one of the first to report to pre-season.

After meeting with others who have reported to pre-season early and also with Massimiliano Allegri, the Serbian then will meet with new technical director Cristiano Guintoli, as La Gazzetta dello Sport have reported. The Italian joined the club from Napoli in recent days and it is believed already that he is planning a large overhaul of the squad.

Whilst the striker may have his own feelings regarding where he will play next season, including the Allegri situation and the club’s lack of Champions League football, the club will also have their own stance.

Vlahovic’s contract is one of the biggest in the side – around €7 million per season – and there is sizeable interest from some of Europe’s top clubs, such as Bayern Munich and Chelsea. Juventus will demand a fee of around €80m, though they may be willing to negotiate slightly.

En-Nesyri eyed up as the Vlahovic replacement

If Vlahovic were to depart the Bianconeri it would leave only Moise Kean and Arkadiusz Milik as the only true No.9s in the squad, so investment would have to be made.

There is already interest in Rasmus Hojlund, Romelu Lukaku, and Jonathan David, though all three have other more favoured suitors.

Instead, the club will most likely look at Sevilla’s Youssef En-Nesyri. The 26-year-old would be available for less than €30m, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport, due to Sevilla’s current financial woes. There are many elements of the Morrocan’s game that are admired by those in Turin, so it would not be unlikely to see the club act if Vlahovic departs this summer.
