Juventus transfers: PSG’s move for Vlahovic could see Chelsea’s Lukaku land in Turin

Dusan Vlahovic has been heavily linked with a move away from Juventus this summer and should it materialise, there could be major drama with Romelu Lukaku arriving at the Allianz Stadium from Chelsea.

A major shake-up could be set to take place in the striking department at Juventus with Dusan Vlahovic potentially being shipped to PSG, which could allow Romelu Lukaku to join from Chelsea.

Strikers do seem to be one of the major themes of the 2023 summer transfer window, with players like Harry Kane and Victor Osimhen being talked about a lot. Lukaku has also been central to a lot of rumours, and Vlahovic has warranted plenty of column inches too.

In a dramatic turn of events that involves Inter, AC Milan, Juventus, Chelsea and PSG, Lukaku and Vlahovic could see their respective futures intrinsically linked.

Lukaku nearing Juventus move after Inter fallout

Romelu Lukaku was on loan at Inter last season after essentially begging Chelsea to let him return to the Nerazzurri. Injuries meant it was a very tough season but there was still a belief that player and club would find a way to ensure he could stay at Inter on a permanent deal.

As it turns out, Lukaku and his entourage have been in talks with not just Inter, but AC Milan and Juventus too. Whilst that seems fairly obvious given he needs a new club and both those clubs are in the market for a striker, it has caused offence at Inter.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Sempre Inter) have reported that Inter pulled the plug on the deal, and they also believe that Lukaku told the Curva Nord that he will not join Juventus. Other Gazzetta reports suggest that he is open to the move to Juventus, if the Bianconeri have the funds to make it happen.

Vlahovic and PSG hold the keys

It would likely take somewhere around €30-35 million to get Chelsea to part ways with Lukaku this summer, and Juventus cannot justify paying that fee whilst they have Vlahovic, Arkadiusz Milik and Moise Kean on the books.

One has to go, and it will almost certainly be Vlahovic. He is the most valuable and has already been linked with multiple clubs. Right now, it seems that PSG are the team most serious about signing the Serbian.

Vlahovic wants to play in the Champions League which won’t happen this season at Chelsea. Juventus want at least €80m for Vlahovic so that they are not making a loss on him, whilst any offer from Chelsea would need to be of about €35m and Lukaku.

Should a move to PSG be secured fairly swiftly for Vlahovic, don’t be surprised to see Lukaku in a black and white shirt next season. That trip to the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza would be quite something.
