Lazio have put themselves in a great position to qualify for the Round of 16 with a 2-0 victory against Celtic on Champions League Matchday 5.
The Biancocelesti needed their talismanic striker Ciro Immobile to come off the bench and replace Valentin Castellanos in the second half, then going on to score twice in three minutes. The Bhoys thought they had earned a penalty in injury time after Patric had apparently pushed an opponent, but it was not given after a VAR review.
This victory takes Lazio temporarily to the top of Group E with 10 points whereas Celtic are out of Europe altogether with just one point. Feyenoord and Atletico Madrid play later in the evening in the other group match.
