Lazio will be looking to make amends in Europe when they take on Romanian side CFR Cluj on Thursday night in the Europa Conference League knockout round play-off.
Maurizio Sarri’s side were eliminated from their Europa League group in third place despite amassing eight points, which incredibly was the same as Feyenoord, Midtjylland and Sturm Graz.
That means they will be looking to emulate AS Roma’s feat from last season of winning the Europa Conference League. Doing so would mean that the first two winners of the team would not only be Italian sides, but Roman sides.

Lazio vs CFR Cluj: Predicted line-ups
Stefan Radu is the only absentee for Lazio coming into this match at the Stadio Olimpico although Alessio Romagnoli came off in the first half on Saturday night. Sarri will want to see a reaction from his side after the 2-0 Serie A defeat against Atalanta. He is unlikely to make much in the way of changes though.
Cluj suffered a surprise defeat last time out and sit second in Romania’s Liga 1. They are without major injury concerns and have plenty of options to call on.
Lazio predicted XI vs CFR Cluj (4-3-3): Provedel; Lazzari, Patric, Casale, Marusic; Luis Alberto, Vecino, Milinkovic-Savic; Zaccagni, Immobile, Anderson.
CFR Cluj predicted XI vs Lazio (4-3-3): Scuffet; Manea, Yuri, Burca, Camora; Muhar, Adjei-Boateng, Deac; Yeboah, Malele, Petrila.
