Juventus will travel to the Stadio Olimpico in Rome to face Lazio, who have a new coach in Igor Tudor, on Serie A Matchday 30.

Tudor is no stranger to the Bianconeri, having played for the Italian giants from 1998 to 2007, and he was an assistant to Andrea Pirlo in the 2020/21 season. The Croat is back coaching in Italy after a season with Ligue 1 club Olympique Marseille.

He will be facing his old club at the right time as Juventus have only won once in their last eight Serie A matches, and they were held to a scoreless draw by Genoa in the previous round before the international break.

Meanwhile, Lazio had lost five out of their last six competitive matches under Maurizio Sarri, and it was interim coach Giovanni Martusciello that lead the Biancocelesti to a 3-2 win against Frosinone in the latest round of Serie A action.

The Aquile are equal eighth with Fiorentina on 43 points albeit the Gigliati have a game in hand. When Tudor coached Hellas Verona in 2021/22, he turned a squad expected to struggle for survival into a team that comfortably finished ninth, and got players like Gianluca Caprari and Giovanni Simeone to produce career-best performances.

It will still be a tough proposition for Lazio to face Juventus, but Tudor has demonstrated in the past that he can make a team punch above their weight, and he could do the same with the Biancocelesti.

Lazio vs Juventus: Predicted line-ups

Lazio will be missing goalkeeper Ivan Provedel and midfielder Nicolo Rovella due to muscular injuries. Christos Mandas will start in goal for the Aquile, and Danilo Cataldi will partner Matteo Guendouzi in central midfield. Despite his double against Frosinone, Valentin Castellanos is likely to begin the match on the bench, and veteran striker Ciro Immobile should start up front.

Tudor is expected to ditch the 4-3-3 formation implemented by Maurizio Sarri, and he will probably use the 3-4-2-1 system, which he used when coaching Hellas Verona. He is expected to start Luis Alberto and Mattia Zaccagni in the attacking midfield roles behind Immobile, but the potential surprise could be his utilisation of Felipe Anderson as a left wing-back.

Meanwhile, Carlos Alcaraz and Arkadiusz Milik will be missing for Juventus due to muscular injuries, and Dusan Vlahovic is suspended for this match. With the Serb and the Pole out, Moise Kean is expected to partner Federico Chiesa in attack.

Lazio predicted XI vs Juventus (3-4-2-1): Mandas; Gila, Romagnoli, Casale; Lazzari, Guendouzi, Cataldi, Felipe Anderson; Luis Alberto, Zaccagni; Immobile
