Massimiliano Allegri and Juventus did little to silence their many critics despite picking up three much-needed points as they won 1-0 in Salento against Lecce in Serie A Matchday 12 on Saturday evening.
The Bianconeri struggled for large parts of the game in Lecce, and it took a late goal from an unlikely source in 21-year-old Nicolo Fagiolo to seal the points. Beyond that, the Old Lady looked largely uninspiring as they have for most of Allegri’s second spell in charge.
Juventus had more than twice as many shots as their hosts on Saturday – 13 to five – and Lecce didn’t manage to get a single shot on target all night. Even still, there wasn’t much on display to fill Juventus fans with any real excitement.
