Juventus travel down south to the Stadio Via Del Mare to play against Lecce on Serie A Matchday 21, and try to keep pace with leaders Inter.

The Bianconeri have been in excellent form in both Serie A and the Coppa Italia, winning their last six competitive fixtures. Their latest match ended in a 3-0 victory in their favour against Sassuolo, atoning for their shock 4-2 defeat to the Neroverdi earlier in the season.

Meanwhile, Lecce are in 13th place, and they look a shadow of the team that had won three of their first five matches of the league campaign. They have lost three of their last four matches including the 1-0 defeat to Lazio on the previous weekend.

Current form suggests that Juventus should win this match rather comfortably. For the Salentini to have any chance of creating a shock, Wladimiro Falcone would need to make a plethora of saves, Federico Baschirotto must be rock solid in defence, and Gabriel Strefezza needs to produce some magic up front.

Lecce vs Juventus: Predicted line-ups

Juventus will welcome back Federico Gatti and Weston McKennie from suspension, but injuries keep Mattia De Sciglio and Alex Sandro out of the squad, and Danilo is one yellow card away from suspension. Gatti and McKennie should return to the starting line-up, relegating Daniele Rugani and Fabio Miretti to the bench.

Lecce will be missing Ahmed Touba, Hamza Rafia, and Lameck Banda, who are representing the Algeria Men’s National Team, Tunisia, and Zambia respectively at the African Cup of Nations. Kastriot Dermaku and Nicola Sansone are doubts for the match, and Patrick Dorgu as well as Gabriel Strefezza are one yellow card away from suspension.
