Lecce vs Napoli: Preview, kick-off time and where to watch on TV and online

Runaway Serie A leaders Napoli will have to get back on track and put their hammering at the hands of AC Milan behind them as they travel south to face Lecce on Friday for Matchday 29.

Napoli will face an unusual Serie A Matchday 29 when they make the trip to face one of only two of two sides from further south than themselves – they’ll come up against Lecce down in Salento on Friday evening.

What makes the trip all the odder is that, for only the third time this season, the Partenopei are looking to bounce back from a domestic defeat – though this most recent loss was a humiliating 4-0 drubbing at home to outgoing champions AC Milan.

Napoli’s first loss of the season, away at Inter, saw them swiftly get back to winning ways by beating struggling Sampdoria 2-0 on the road, and they reacted to Lazio winning at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona by beating Atalanta 2-0 in their next outing. Lecce, then, will have to be aware of coming up against an angered beast.

Lecce vs Napoli: Predicted line-ups

Napoli were without Victor Osimhen against Milan on Matchday 28 and that will still be the case for the trip to Lecce. Although Giovanni Simeone started against Milan, Giacomo Raspadori could make his first start since recovering from injury.

Alexis Blin is suspended for Lecce but apart from that, Marco Baroni has got almost all of his squad available. The major decision for him to make is whether Lorenzo Colombo or Assan Ceesay will start in attack.

Lecce predicted XI vs Napoli (4-3-3): Falcone; Gendrey, Baschirotto, Umtiti, Gallo; Gonzalez, Hjumland, Maleh; Oudin, Ceesay, Di Francesco.

Napoli predicted XI vs Lecce (4-3-3): Meret; Di Lorenzo, Rrahmani, Kim Min-jae, Rui; Aguissa, Lobotka, Elmas; Lozano, Raspadori, Kvaratskhelia.
