Napoli remain unbeaten in the 2022/23 Serie A season and end Matchday 10 at the top of the table, having beaten Bologna by the odd goal of five in yet another thriller at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. The Partenopei won 3-2.
Luciano Spalletti has his Napoli playing some of the most irresistible football in Europe this season – both in Serie A and in the Champions League, where they have already confirmed their progression to the knockout rounds – and they are deservedly leading the way in Italy.
Caution will have to be heeded in Campania though as they chained together 12 unbeaten games to start the Serie A season in 2021/22, then leading the way alongside eventual champions AC Milan before falling off.

Napoli are the entertainers
Having scored over 30 goals in this 10-game winning streak, Napoli’s Serie A goal tally is 25 in their 10 games so far, seeing them average 2.5 goals per game in 2022/23, earning themselves the reputation of being Italy’s entertainers.
That label has carried over into Europe as well, where they’ve scored a frightening total of 17 goals in just four games – an average of more than three goals per game.
Spreading the goals around

Napoli fell behind on the night, with Bologna taking a surprise lead after 41 minutes through Joshua Zirkzee. But the Partenopei reacted fast and Juan Jesus sent them in level at the break.
Hirving Lozano then put them in front less than five minutes after the restart, but Musa Barrow cancelled out the Mexican’s strike and restored parity just two minutes later.
With Khvicha Kvaratskhelia around, though, Napoli have no reason to panic. He was again involved in an important goal as he slipped Victor Osimhen through and the Nigerian made no mistake in finishing for the winner midway through the second half.
Napoli sit top of the Serie A table now with 26 points, two clear of second-placed Atalanta.
