Fans are getting their first look at what the Italy men’s and women’s teams will be lining up in for their international matches after Adidas and Italy announced the home and away strips.
The home jersey is set to be used for the first time at Coverciano on Wednesday as the Under 18 men’s side take on Spain. Players such as Gianluigi Donnarumma, Valentina Giacinti, Ciro Immobile and Martina Rosucci are involved in the release, posing for photos in the new strips.
These are the first kits that Adidas have made for the Italian national team after securing the contract and they are now an official partner of the FIGC, creating kits for the men’s, women’s, futsal, beach football and e-sports teams.

As per the release from the FIGC and Adidas, the home shirt features a blue base as is tradition for the Azzurri and also has hints of a marble print throughout which become a lot more prominent with the away shirt.
The marble detailing also continues onto the shorts and there are other references to Italian culture on the kit. The tricolour detailing can be seen on the shoulders and it is also present on the sides of the shirt. The word ‘Italia’ can be seen on the back of the collar and the new Italy logo, unveiled in early January, is also in use.

This is where marble becomes really prominent. The entire base of the away shirt looks like marble and is predominantly off-white. The same detailing as the home shirt can be found with the tricolour in multiple locations and ‘Italia’ on the back of the collar.
A new range of pre-match wear and jackets has also been released which fans will be excited to get their hands on.

Gabriele Gravina, President of the FIGC, said: “Today we are entering a new era and we are proud to do so with Adidas, which has interpreted the passion and tradition of the Azzurra shirt in the best and most modern way.
“For 113 years, the Italian national football teams have represented a symbol of values and style throughout the world, the Azzurri is a national heritage that transcends sport because it conveys feelings that unite people of different ages, genders and social classes. The Azzurre and the Azzurri represent a strong element of identity, which we will make the most of with this new partnership.”
