PSG 2-1 AS Roma: Goals, highlights and report – UWCL 2023/24

AS Roma's great start to Group C in the Women's Champions League came to an end as PSG beat the Giallorosse at the Parc des Princes.

AS Roma Women suffered their first defeat of the season in all competitions as Paris Saint-Germain ran out 2-1 winners at the Parc des Princes in this Women’s Champions League clash.

PSG took the lead at the end of the first half when Eseola Aigbogun clumsily gave away a penalty and Grace Geyoro was all too happy to dispatch the spot kick. Roma then started the second half badly, allowing Marie-Antoinette Katoto to tap in from Geyoro‘s cross.

Manuela Giugliano missed a dubious penalty before then playing a great pass into the box which Valentina Giacinti ran onto and finished excellently. Roma pushed for an equaliser but it was to no avail. The Giallorosse now sit second in Group C after three games but just two points separate the whole group.
