Serie A table after Matchday 28

There was some big action in the fight for the Champions League places this weekend with wins for AC Milan, AS Roma, Lazio, Juventus and Atalanta. Take a look at how those results have affected the Serie A table on Matchday 28.

The Serie A Matchday 28 action got underway on Saturday afternoon with Atalanta’s trip to Cremonese, followed by Inter vs Fiorentina and Juventus vs Hellas Verona.

There were goals for Jeremie Boga and Ademola Lookman at the Stadio Giovanni Zini as Atalanta remained in the Champions League qualification hunt.

They were then handed another boost as Inter were beaten 1-0 at home by an in-form Fiorentina side.

Saturday evening was rounded off by a routine 1-0 victory for Juventus at home against Hellas Verona, further showing that the Bianconeri can still qualify for the Champions League.

There were some very interesting results on Sunday, the most interesting being AC Milan’s commanding 4-0 win away at league leaders Napoli. As well as that, AS Roma won 3-0 at home against Sampdoria and Lazio won 2-0 away at Monza.

Bologna beat Udinese 3-0 at the Stadio Renato dall’Ara and there was a 1-1 draw at the bottom of the table between Salernitana and Spezia.

Matchday 28 ended with Sassuolo’s 1-1 draw with Torino and a 1-0 win for Empoli at home to Lecce.
