Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 10 Team of the Week

Vanja Milinkovic-Savic – Torino

The Granata may have lost the Derby della Mole to Juventus but the Serbian goalkeeper made several impressive saves to make the scoreline look less embarrassing.

Brandon Soppy – Atalanta

After Sassuolo took the lead against La Dea, Soppy turned the game around for Atalanta, providing two clever assists for both Mario Pasalic and Ademola Lookman.

Sebastiano Luperto – Empoli

The Azzurri defender can be erratic at times, but he produced an exceptional performance in the victory against Monza, making eight clearances in the process.

Juan Jesus – Napoli

Deputised effectively for Kim Min-jae in defence and he scored the Partenopei’s first goal before half-time.

Andrea Cambiaso – Bologna

One of the few Rossoblu players that can hold his head up high after the defeat to Napoli. Supplied assists for Joshua Zirkzee and Musa Barrow, had a passing accuracy of 81 percent, made four tackles, and won eight ground duels.

Nicolo Barella – Inter

The Italy international dominated the midfield against Salernitana. Not only did he hassle opponents, he displayed some comfort with the ball at his feet, provided the pass for Lautaro Martinez to open the scoring, and he scored the second goal of the game.

Sandro Tonali – AC Milan

Although it was not a vintage display from the Italian midfielder, he made the difference late in the game against Hellas Verona by timing his run into the box to perfection and scoring the winner.

Hakan Calhanoglu – Inter

Produced a delightful display in midfield, playing with grace and panache. Supplied the assist for Nicolo Barella to seal the victory against Salernitana.

Ademola Lookman – Atalanta

The Nigerian forward has been a revelation for La Dea this season and he gave his side the victory against Sassuolo with a well-taken goal. He has now scored three goals in his last three Serie A appearances.

Lautaro Martinez – Inter

Found the back of the net in the first half with a strike from distance and got into many good positions to score other chances. The Salernitana defence could not cope with the movement of the Argentine.

Kvicha Kvaratskhelia – Napoli

Although he did not score, the Georgian was in dazzling form on the left-wing. He was involved in many attacking plays for the Partenopei and he assisted the winner for Victor Osimhen with a stupendous through-ball.
