Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 14 Team of the Week

Marco Carnesecchi – Cremonese

The Grigiorossi goalkeeper is one of the stars in the Italy Under-21 squad, and he showed against AC Milan that he can succeed against senior footballers, keeping a clean sheet against the reigning Serie A champions.

Danilo – Juventus

Was not tested too often, but he was alert when necessary, and he made four clearances against Hellas Verona.

Federico Baschirotto – Lecce

A solid performance in defence and he opened the scoring in the shock victory against Atalanta.

Alessio Romagnoli – Lazio

Remained cool when he was defending and he was superb in his distribution from the back. Eight of nine long passes were successful and that ineffective one was his only inaccurate pass against Monza.

Federico Dimarco – Inter

The left wing-back is starting to become an important player for the Nerazzurri, and he played a starring role in the thrashing of Bologna, scoring two superb goals.

Giacomo Bonaventura – Fiorentina

The Italian veteran had another fine performance in the Gigliati midfield and he scored the first goal in the win against Salernitana.

Hakan Calhanoglu – Inter

Produced a superb delivery from a corner to assist Lautaro Martinez in the first half against Bologna and he converted a penalty in the second half.

Nikola Vlasic – Torino

Nemanja Radonjic combined with the Croatian midfielder to score the opening goal and then Vlasic doubled the Granata’s lead against Sampdoria.

Hirving Lozano – Napoli

The Partenopei were struggling against Empoli, but the Mexican winger came on and turned the game around in their favour. Converted the penalty to open the scoring and assisted Piotr Zielinski for the sealer.

Edin Dzeko – Inter

Scored the equaliser against Bologna with a magnificent volley and supplied an assist for Robin Gosens. The crossbar denied him from scoring another goal.

Armand Lauriente – Sassuolo

The French winger has taken on greater responsibility in recent months for the Neroverdi and he assisted for Andrea Pinamonti in the draw against Roma.
