Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 18 Team of the Week
Guglielmo Vicario – Empoli
Kept a clean sheet in the victory against Sampdoria and he was able to cope with a late onslaught from the Blucerchiati.
Amir Rrahmani – Napoli
Effective in defence and scored a goal in the second half against Juventus. Made three successful tackles, three clearances, and had a successful passing rate of 92%.
Federico Baschirotto – Lecce
The tall defender was not an easy opponent for AC Milan to face and they struggled with his physicality. He also scored the Salentini’s second goal of the game with a header.
Giorgio Scalvini – Atalanta
The young Italian defender found the back of net in the second half, and he completed 68 passes, more than anyone else in the demolition of Salernitana.
Alessandro Bastoni – Inter
It was not one of his best games in terms of his ball-playing abilities, but he was reliable in defence, winning 11 out of 13 duels and making five clearances.

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – Lazio
In addition to assisting for Felipe Anderson, the Serbian midfielder won the most duels against Sassuolo with 15, and he drew the most fouls for the game with five.
Teun Koopmeiners – Atalanta
The Dutchman once again made his presence felt in the Atalanta midfield and was involved in two goals. He provided an assist for Giorgio Scalvini, and then scored from a rebound after Salernitana goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa had saved his initial penalty.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – Napoli
Four out of the Partenopei’s five goals against Juventus involved the left winger. Victor Osimhen’s first goal was a rebound from a Kvaratskhelia shot, the Georgian then scored the second for the Neapolitans, and then he supplied two assists in the second half.

Ademola Lookman – Atalanta
A scintillating display from the Nigeria international for La Dea. Scored two goals and he also provided an assist for Ederson.
Victor Osimhen – Napoli
The Nigerian striker could not be contained against Juventus. He found the back of the net twice and supplied an assist for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Paulo Dybala – Roma
In what was largely a forgettable match, the Argentinian made the difference for the Giallorossi with two superb goals.
