Napoli have extended their lead at the top of the Serie A table to 13 points after defeating AS Roma 2-1 on Matchday 20 while AC Milan slipped further down the table after being annihilated 5-2 by Sassuolo.
Inter won 2-1 against Cremonese, Atalanta defeated Sampdoria 2-0, and Lazio were held to a 1-1 draw against Fiorentina.
Meanwhile, if things were bad enough for Juventus due to the points deduction from the capital gains case, they got worse on the pitch as they lost 2-0 to Monza.

Michele Di Gregorio – Monza
Kept a clean sheet away to Juventus and made several quality saves in the process.
Joakim Maehle – Atalanta
Provided an attacking threat down the left flank, and scored the first goal against Sampdoria, taking his tally to two goals in as many games.
Armando Izzo – Monza
A solid performance in the Brianzoli defence from the former Torino centre-back. Made three clearances, three interceptions, and was ranked first for passes completed with 56.
Pablo Mari – Monza
The Spanish defender is slowly regaining his form after a near-fatal incident in October last year and he put in a stellar performance against Juventus.



Mario Rui – Napoli
It was another effective performance from the Portuguese full-back and he was involved in the build-up for the opening goal against AS Roma.
Nicolas Gonzalez – Fiorentina
Lazio could not handle the pace of the Argentinian winger, who scored the equaliser for the Gigliati.
Davide Frattesi – Sassuolo
An energetic performance in midfield from the Italy international. Covered lots of ground, distributed the ball well, and scored the second goal of the game against AC Milan.
Piotr Zielinski – Napoli
Influential in the midfield and played a part in both goals against AS Roma. He was involved in the build-up for the first goal, which was scored by Victor Osimhen, and he assisted Giovanni Simeone for the winner.
Domenico Berardi – Sassuolo
The Neroverdi talisman was in scintillating form against AC Milan, scoring a goal and providing three assists.



Lautaro Martinez – Inter
In a match in which the Nerazzurri struggled, the Argentine made the difference with two goals against Cremonese.
Victor Osimhen – Napoli
AS Roma could not contain the attacking threat of the Nigerian striker and he opened the scoring for the Partenopei with a stupendous strike.
