Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 22 Team of the Week
Wladimiro Falcone – Lecce
On another night, AS Roma would have won rather comfortably, but the goalkeeper on loan from Sampdoria produced some fine saves to ensure that the Salentini earned a point.
Giovanni Di Lorenzo – Napoli
It was another performance in which the Partenopei captain displayed his reliability. Won five out of five duels, supplied an assist for Elif Elmas, and he also had a few chances to score as well.
Stefan de Vrij – Inter
The Dutchman was back to his best against Sampdoria. He won eight out of nine aerial duels, made seven clearances, and made three interceptions.
Bram Nuytinck – Sampdoria
Undeterred by facing Inter strikers Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, and ensured the Blucerchiati kept an unlikely clean sheet.
Jaka Bijol – Udinese
Provided an assist for Destiny Udogie, scored the second Zebrette goal, and created a couple of other chances in the second half.

Matheus Henrique – Sassuolo
The Brazilian midfielder scored in the draw against Udinese, had a successful passing rate of 88% and made four recoveries.
Nicolo Rovella – Monza
A solid performance in midfield from the former Italy youth international against Bologna. Impressed more with his ball-winning than his distribution by completing four out of five tackles and nine recoveries.
Angel Di Maria – Juventus
In a match devoid of quality, the brilliance of the Argentinian truly stood out, and he supplied the assist for Adrien Rabiot to score the only goal against Fiorentina.

Daniele Verde – Spezia
The diminutive Neapolitan forward was in sensational form against Empoli. Converted a penalty to open the scoring and then scored another one from long range.
Rasmus Hojlund – Atalanta
Despite his young age, the Danish striker displayed the intelligence to move into the right positions. He scored the second La Dea goal in the victory against Lazio and could have scored a few more.
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia – Napoli
The Georgian winger helped unlock a stubborn Cremonese defence on his birthday. Produced his share of interesting plays and his goal to open the scoring was a clear highlight.
