Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 24 Team of the Week

Guillermo Ochoa – Salernitana

Made several impressive saves and kept a clean sheet in the comprehensive victory against Monza.

Pierre Kalulu – AC Milan

The French defender comfortably dealt with any attacking threat Atalanta threw at him. Completed all three attempted tackles and made 14 recoveries.

Lucas Martinez Quarta – Fiorentina

Although his distribution was not the best, the Argentinian centre-back was impressive defensively against Hellas Verona. He completed four tackles and won 14 out of 19 duels.

Gleison Bremer – Juventus

Despite his team conceding two goals, Bremer put in an impressive performance for the Bianconeri against Torino. He won eight out of eight duels, scored his team’s third goal, and his deflection inadvertently became an assist for Adrien Rabiot’s goal.

Matteo Bianchetti – Cremonese

The Grigiorossi got their first Serie A win for the season and the defender was able to nullify the threat of Roma striker Andrea Belotti. Completed 92% of his passes and made eight clearances too.

Antonio Candreva – Salernitana

New Granata coach Paulo Sousa decided to use the veteran winger as one of two attacking midfielders behind Polish striker Krzysztof Piatek. The change in role was beneficial as the former Lazio and Inter player provided an assist and scored the third against Monza.

Luis Alberto – Lazio

In a match in which the Aquile dominated possession, the Spaniard completed the most passes with 72, and most importantly, he scored the winner against Sampdoria with a superb strike.

Rafael Leao – AC Milan

The Atalanta defence could not contain him and he was unlucky not to score. However, he did supply an assist for Junior Messias with a delightful through-ball.

Riccardo Orsolini – Bologna

The Italian winger has been in impressive form recently, scoring four goals and supplying two assists in the last five league games. His latest strike was the solitary goal in the win against Inter.

Victor Osimhen – Napoli

Another Osimhen goal, another Partenopei win. The Nigeria international now has 19 goals for the league campaign, six clear of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez.

M’Bala Nzola – Spezia

Scored twice in the draw against Udinese, taking his tally to double figures for the campaign with 11 goals. Only three more players have scored more than the Angola international in Serie A this season.
