Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 25 Team of the Week

Rui Patricio – AS Roma

Kept a clean sheet against Juventus despite a late surge from the Bianconeri in the second half.

Dodo – Fiorentina

Was a dominant figure on the right flank and supplied the cross for Luka Jovic to score the second Gigliati goal.

Gianluca Mancini – AS Roma

The Italian defender showed a no-nonsense approach to defending and scored the only goal of the game against Juventus.

Armando Izzo – Monza

It was another reliable defensive performance from the Brianzoli centre-back and he also scored the winner against Empoli.

Roger Ibanez – AS Roma

The Brazilian defender proved to be an obstacle for the Juventus attack. He won nine duels for the match and made eight clearances.

Nicolo Barella – Inter

Produced one of his typically energetic performances in midfield and supplied the assist for Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s goal.

Matias Vecino – Lazio

Provided more solidarity in midfield in place of Danilo Cataldi and scored an absolute rocket of a goal against Napoli.

Henrikh Mkhitaryan – Inter

The experience of the Armenian veteran has been a welcome addition in recent weeks and he opened the scoring against Lecce with a stunning strike.

Armand Lauriente – Sassuolo

One of the revelations of the 2022/23 season, the Frenchman had his best game to date against Cremonese, scoring the opening goal and assisting for two others.

Lautaro Martinez – Inter

Scored his 14th goal for the league campaign with Napoli striker Victor Osimhen being the only striker to score more than him.

Cyriel Dessers – Cremonese

The former Feyenoord forward has struggled to adapt to Italian football but he was unfortunate to be on the losing side against Sassuolo. Came on in the second half and scored twice to give the Grigiorossi some hope of getting at least a point.
