Serie A 2022/23: Team of the Week – Matchday 27

There were some very big results at both ends of the table this weekend, so who made it into our Serie A Team of the Week for Matchday 27?

Napoli are 19 points clear on top of the Serie A table at the end of Matchday 27 after they thrashed Torino 4-0 while Lazio jumped to second after winning 1-0 against AS Roma in the Derby della Capitale.

Inter slipped to third after losing 1-0 to Juventus in the Derby d’Italia, AC Milan suffered a 3-1 defeat to Udinese, and Atalanta came back to win 2-1 against Empoli.

Elsewhere, Bologna drew 2-2 with Salernitana, Cremonese drew 1-1 with Monza, and Sampdoria beat Hellas Verona 3-1.

Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 27 Team of the Week

Marco Carnesecchi – Cremonese

Helped earn the Grigiorossi a valuable point after making some fine saves against Monza.

Dodo – Fiorentina

Impressed with his attacking play down the right flank against Lecce and had a passing completion rate of 92%.

Federico Gatti – Juventus

Earned a rare start and proved to be a rock at the back against Inter. The Italy international made six clearances, one block, and three interceptions against the Nerazzurri.

Nahuen Perez – Udinese

The Argentine was impressive defensively against AC Milan, dominating in the air, and made seven clearances.

Giorgos Kyriakopoulos – Bologna

The Greek left-back has been playing in a more advanced role under Thiago Motta and he assisted both goals in the draw against Salernitana.

Luis Alberto – Lazio

Controlled the midfield for the Aquile in the Derby della Capitale. He completed 94 out of 101 passes and he was involved in the winner scored by Mattia Zaccagni.

Marten De Roon – Atalanta

Worked tirelessly in midfield and scored the equaliser in the victory against Empoli.

Filip Kostic – Juventus

Scored the only goal of the match against Inter and was involved in many other attacking moves for the Bianconeri.

Manolo Gabbiadini – Sampdoria

The experienced forward earned the Blucerchiati three vital points thanks to his brace in the first half against Hellas Verona.

Victor Osimhen – Napoli

Found the back of the net twice against Torino, taking his Serie A tally to 21 goals for the season.

Mattia Zaccagni – Lazio

The Italian winger emerged as the hero for the Biancocelesti in the Derby della Capitale. Competed six dribbles, won 12 duels, and scored the only goal of the game against AS Roma.
