Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 29 Team of the Week

Guillermo Ochoa – Salernitana

The Granata were able to earn an unlikely point thanks to the Mexican goalkeeper having a superb game in goal. Made several important saves, and kept his team in the match, even when it seemed that Inter were in position to seal a victory.

Giovanni Di Lorenzo – Napoli

Headed in the opening goal against Lecce, completed 81% of his passes, and made one block as well as three clearances.

Kim Min-jae – Napoli

An excellent performance defensively as well as offensively from the South Korean centre-back. Won 12 duels, completed 93 out of 105 passes, and he provided the cross for Giovanni Di Lorenzo to score the first goal against Lecce.

Chris Smalling – AS Roma

Had a solid game at the back against Torino and was dominant once again in the air.

Sebastiano Luperto – Empoli

The robust defender was very hard to beat against AC Milan. Won nine duels and made 12 clearances.

Stanislav Lobotka – Napoli

His presence in the Partenopei midfield has been understated but important. Completed 93% of his passes, made 16 recoveries, and won nine duels.

Nicolo Rovella – Monza

Scored his first Serie A goal ever against Udinese, made six recoveries, and had a successful passing completion rate of 94%.

Luis Alberto – Lazio

Impressed with his distribution in midfield against Juventus and assisted Mattia Zaccagni for the winning goal.

Nicola Sansone – Bologna

The left-winger operated as a false nine against Atalanta, which caused confusion for the opposition, and he scored the first goal against La Dea.

M’Bala Nzola – Spezia

If the Aquilotti are to survive relegation, a lot of credit should go to the Angolan. Scored the equaliser against Fiorentina, taking his tally in Serie A for this season to 13.

Mattia Zaccagni – Lazio

Supplied the cross for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic to score the opener against Juventus and then scored the winning goal after a slick team move.
