AS Roma defeated Spezia 2-1 and AC Milan won 3-1 against Hellas Verona, sending the Aquilotti and the Gialloblu into a relegation playoff.

Elsewhere, Inter beat Torino 1-0, Juventus won against Udinese by the same score, and Atalanta smashed Monza 5-2.

Here is the Team of the Week for Serie A Matchday 38, which is deployed in the 4-3-3 formation. Let us know your thoughts!

Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 38 Team of the Week

Guglielmo Vicario – Empoli

The Azzurri would have suffered a more embarrassing defeat against Lazio if it was not for the saves made by their goalkeeper, who tried in vain to thwart the Aquile for the whole game.

Danilo – Juventus

Effective in his defending and distribution. Completed 95% of his passes as well as five tackles.

Alessio Romagnoli – Lazio

Was not tested too often in defence, but he was effective in his distribution, and scored the opening goal against Empoli.

Fikayo Tomori – AC Milan

Completed 98 out of 102 passes at a success rate of 96% and supplied the pass for Rafael Leao to score his first goal of the match against Hellas Verona.

Joakim Maehle – Atalanta

Featured on the left flank against Monza and supplied two assists on the night.

Marcelo Brozovic – Inter

His distribution has been impressive in recent weeks, and he was hero against Torino, scoring the solitary goal with a low strike from outside of the box.

Teun Koopmeiners – Atalanta

Scored a hat-trick and supplied an assist for Rasmus Hojlund in the emphatic win against Monza.

Luis Alberto – Lazio

Supplied the corner for Romagnoli to open the scoring against Empoli and then scored the second for the Biancocelesti with a stunning strike.

Stephan El Shaarawy – AS Roma

He was unfortunate not to have scored at least twice against Spezia. However, he assisted for Nicolas Zalewski, and earned the penalty for Paulo Dybala to score the winner.

Victor Osimhen – Napoli

Earned and scored the penalty to open the scoring against Sampdoria, and he finishes the season as the leading goalscorer in Serie A with 26 goals.

Rafael Leao – AC Milan

Won the Rossoneri the game against Hellas Verona with two goals of great individual quality.
