Federico Dimarco scored a brace as Inter got over defeat to Juventus last weekend with a comprehensive victory against Bologna on Matchday 14 of the 2022/23 Serie A campaign, and named Player of the Week.
Despite going behind at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza on Wednesday night, the Nerazzurri recovered to win 6-1, with Edin Dzeko, Lautaro Martinez, Hakan Calhanoglu and Robin Gosens also on the scoresheet against the Rossoblu.
Magnificant Dimarco

After equalising within four minutes of going behind, it was Italian international Dimarco who fired Inter back into the lead with a trademark free kick. Drilling a low effort past Lukasz Skorupski to register his fifth goal for the Milanese giants.
Shortly after the break, it was the 25-year-old who gave the Nerazzurri some extra breathing space with the third goal, cutting inside and evading a challenge from a Bologna defender to curl the ball home.
The wing-backs double strike was the first by an Inter defender since Achraf Hakimi achieved the feat in December 2020 – also against the Rossoblu. It was also the first time since 18 September 2021 that the visitors had conceded six goals, when Inter travelled to the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Timeless Dzeko

At 36 years and 237 days, former AS Roma striker Dzeko showed wonderful agility to get Inter back into the game, stretching and twisting his aging frame to send a long-range volley looping over Skorupski.
With that strike, the Bosnian netted his eighth goal against Bologna to equal his best-ever haul against a Serie A club (Sassuolo) and could yet overtake former Rossoblu coach Sinisa Mihajlovic as the Nerazzurri’s oldest-ever goalscorer, at 37 years and 47 days.
