Serie A table after Matchday 23

Some sides claimed big wins and others suffered unexpected slips, but how does the Serie A table look after the latest results?

-

Napoli just keep on going at the top of the Serie A table and Luciano Spalletti’s Partenopei preserved their lead at the summit before anybody else had played in Matchday 23, beating Sassuolo 2-0 at the Mapei Stadium on Friday night.

Inter stayed 15 points behind as they saw off Udinese at home, while AC Milan and Lazio both won as well in the battle to finish in the Champions League places. Atalanta slipped to their second defeat to Lecce this season, this time falling 2-1 in Bergamo.

Fiorentina secured a late 1-1 draw at home to Empoli in the Tuscan derby, Bologna snatched a late three points away at Sampdoria, and Juventus won on the road at Spezia.

On Sunday night, AS Roma beat Verona 1-0 and Torino drew 2-2 with Cremonese on Monday, meaning the visitors are still without a single Serie A win this season.
