Serie A table after Matchday 26

Matchday 26 of Serie A got off to a surprise start with Spezia beating Inter and Napoli won again to take full advantage. How does the Serie A table look after the latest results?

-

Matchday 26 of the Serie A season kicked off with Inter taking on Spezia in Liguria, knowing that they had the chance to at least temporarily cut the gap between them and Napoli to 12 points.

It was not to be though as yet another confusing performance from Simone Inzaghi’s side in a game that had three penalties led to relegation-threatened Spezia running out 2-1 winners on Friday night.

Saturday’s games kicked off with Udinese winning narrowly at Empoli before Napoli pulled further clear at the top with a 2-0 win over Atalanta. Bologna held Lazio to a goalless draw at the Dall’Ara to end Saturday’s action.

Sunday kicked off with Torino winning 2-0 at Lecce, before Fiorentina beat Cremonese 2-0 and Verona drew 1-1 with Monza.

Sassuolo beat AS Roma 4-3 in a thriller in the capital and Juventus ended the day’s action with a 4-2 win over Sampdoria. AC Milan disappointed again with a 1-1 draw at home to Salernitana on Monday night.
