Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 3 Team of the Week
Ivan Provedel – Lazio
Despite not keeping a clean sheet against Inter, the former Spezia goalkeeper made a couple of crucial saves in the second half.
Roger Ibanez – Roma
Although Juventus dominated the play and had numerous chances to score, the Giallorossi defender kept his cool and made several important tackles and interventions. He blocked a number of crosses from Juve winger Filip Kostic.
Nikola Milenkovic – Fiorentina
A no-nonsense display from the Serbian defender. Kept a close eye on Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and the Nigeria international had little space to move. When he did put the ball into the net, he was called offside.
Perr Schuurs – Torino
The Granata lost Gleison Bremer in the summer but the Dutch defender showed that he can be an adequate replacement. Read the play well and dominated in the air.
Alessio Romagnoli – Lazio
Developed a fine understanding with Patric in the Biancocelesti defence and he limited the attacking threat of Inter striker Romelu Lukaku.

Charles De Ketelaere – AC Milan
Impressed with his elegant skills on the ball, and he also displayed his ability to chase opponents and dispossess them. He created the opening goal of the game against Bologna by winning the ball back in midfield and supplying the pass for Rafael Leao to score.
Teun Koopmeiners – Atalanta
Provided plenty of energy in midfield, and he was able to venture forward more often in the second half, resulting in him scoring the only goal of the game with a powerful low strike.
Luis Alberto – Lazio
Turned the game around after coming on for Matias Vecino in the second half. Scored with a thunderous shot which also had some swerve on it and the Spanish midfielder also supplied the pass for his compatriot Pedro to score the third.
Boulaye Dia – Salernitana
The Senegalese forward was very influential in the thrashing of Sampdoria, scoring the opening goal and assisting for two others.
Pedro – Lazio
Replaced Mattia Zaccagni on the left-wing and was involved in both Biancocelesti goals in the second half. Provided the pass for Luis Alberto to regain the lead for Lazio and he scored the sealer with a bending shot.
Rafael Leao – AC Milan

The Portuguese winger displayed the qualities that made him a matchwinner last season as the Rossoneri went on to win the title. He opened the scoring against Bologna and he provided the cross for Olivier Giroud to score the second goal of the game for AC Milan.
