Serie A 22/23 – Matchday 4 Team of the Week
Mike Maignan – AC Milan
The Frenchman made a couple of good saves but none were more important than when he dived to his right to deny Sassuolo talisman Domenico Berardi from the penalty spot. His distribution with his feet was also impressive, producing a successful passing rate of 84 percent.

Merih Demiral – Atalanta
Produced a tough and uncompromising performance at the back against Torino and only the frame of the goal denied him from scoring.
Gian Marco Ferrari – Sassuolo
The Neroverdi captain had a solid performance at the back and limited any potential danger posed by AC Milan striker Olivier Giroud.
Roger Ibanez – Roma
Achieved a successful passing rate of 97% and he sealed the victory against Monza with a header from a Lorenzo Pellegrini corner.
Fabiano Parisi – Empoli
The 21-year-old had a superb game at left-back for the Tuscan side. Won the most duels for the game with 12, and it was evident that Hellas Verona could not contain him as he was fouled a game-high six times.
Nicolo Barella – Inter
The Italy international had a stellar performance in the Nerazzurri midfield against Cremonese. He was involved in the build-up for the goal scored by Joaquin Correa, he scored the second Inter goal with a powerful volley, and he supplied the assist for Lautaro Martinez to score third.
Teun Koopmeiners – Atalanta
La Dea defeated Torino thanks to an unlikely source for a hat-trick. The Dutchman converted two penalties and he scored the other goal with a long-range shot from open play. He also could have scored another goal early in the match but was denied by Granata goalkeeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic.
Fabio Miretti – Juventus
Despite being 19 years of age, the Italian midfielder plays with a cool head and often makes wise decisions. A player that is displaying maturity beyond his years, he helped seal the win against Spezia with a low cross to Arkadiusz Milik.

Joaquin Correa – Inter
He scored the opening goal of the game against Cremonese from the rebound of Edin Dzeko’s shot and he was involved in the build-up for Nicolo Barella’s goal.
Dusan Vlahovic – Juventus
The Serbian forward opened the scoring in the victory against Spezia, which takes him to equal first with Teun Koopmeiners on the Serie A leading goalscorer chart with four goals. After scoring with a fine free-kick against Roma days earlier, he repeated the trick again with an arguably better effort against the Aquilotti.
Paulo Dybala – Roma
Although he had numerous chances to score in the opening three rounds of the new season, the Argentine had trouble finding the back of the net for the Giallorossi. Dybala certainly took his chances against Monza, scoring a superb double in the first half.
