Serie A 2023/24: Team of the Week – Matchday 17

Serie A Matchday 17 saw Inter and Juventus maintain their battle for the scudetto while other big teams faltered. We've put our heads together to come up with our Serie A Team of the Week for the weekend's action.


Inter remain on top of the table at the end of Serie A Matchday 17 after their 2-0 victory against Lecce while Juventus are four points behind after their 2-1 win against Frosinone.

Salernitana held AC Milan to a 2-2 draw with Antonio Candreva playing an inspirational role for the Granata, Romelu Lukaku got on the scoresheet as AS Roma beat Napoli 2-0, and Lewis Ferguson as well as Remo Freuler controlled the midfield for Bologna in their 1-0 win against Atalanta.

Elsewhere, Lazio won 2-0 away to Empoli, Fiorentina beat Monza 1-0, Torino played out a 1-1 draw against Udinese, and Albert Gudmundsson was involved in both Genoa goals as the Grifone won 2-1 against Sassuolo. The Icelandic forward was also chosen as our Serie A Player of the Week.
