Serie A 2023/24: Team of the Week – Matchday 4

Italian football returned from the international break with a stunning weekend of football and some excellent performances. We've put our heads together to come up with our Serie A team of the week for Matchday 4.

Inter have the outright lead in Serie A after defeating AC Milan 5-1 in the Derby della Madonnina, and Henrikh Mkhitaryan was the standout among many other stars for the Nerazzurri, and a number of Inter players have made it into our Serie A Team of the Week as a consequence. Mkhitaryan‘s performance also earned him our Serie A Player of the Week prize.

Dusan Vlahovic scored twice for Juventus in their 3-1 victory against Lazio, and the Bianconeri have jumped into second place in the Serie A table, while Paulo Dybala also got a brace as AS Roma earned their first win of the season, annihilating Empoli 7-0.

Elsewhere, Fiorentina defender Lucas Martinez Quarta was among the scorers in the Gigliati’s 3-2 victory against Atalanta, and Frosinone came back from 2-0 down to win 4-2 against Sassuolo with captain Luca Mazzitelli scoring twice.
