Serie A Matchday 30 was a round lacking in goals but there was no shortage of drama. We have put our heads together to come up with our Team of the Week and Player of the Week from the action..

Inter won 2-0 against Empoli, and they are 14 points points clear of city rivals AC Milan at the top of the Serie A table at the end of Matchday 30. The Rossoneri registered a win too, defeating Fiorentina 2-1 thanks to the mercurial talents of Rafael Leao.

Lazio defeated Juventus 1-0 with defenders Adam Marusic and Mario Gila playing key roles for the Aquile, and the former also scored the winning goal. Reigning champions Napoli lost 3-0 to Atalanta with Aleksey Miranchuk impressing in attack for La Dea and Marco Carnesecchi keeping a clean sheet for his side.

Elsewhere, Bologna continued their impressive form with a 3-0 victory against Salernitana. Riccardo Calafiori produced another fine performance in defence while Alexis Saelemaekers starred in attack.

Here is the Serie A Team of the Week for Serie A Matchday 30, which is deployed in a 4-3-3 formation. Let us know your thoughts!

Serie A 23/24 – Matchday 30 Team of the Week

Serie A Matchday 30 Team of the Week: Marco Carnesecchi; Adam Marusic, Mario Gila, Fikayo Tomori, Riccardo Calafiori; Remo Freuler, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Nicolo Barella; Aleksey Miranchuk, Rafael Leao, Alexis Saelemaekers

Serie A 23/24 – Matchday 30 Player of the Week

Rafael Leao has been chosen as the Serie A Player of the Week after his goal and assist in AC Milan’s victory away to Fiorentina.

The 24-year-old supplied a low cross for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to open the scoring, and shortly after Alfred Duncan had equalised for the Gigliati, Leao won it for the Rossoneri with a solo effort. After an underwhelming first half of the 2023/24 campaign, the Portuguese winger has scored twice and supplied four assists in Serie A since the turn of the year, and he also has three goals and three assists in the Europa League.

AC Milan are six points above Juventus in second place, and they are in the quarter-finals of the Europa League. With their star winger hitting form at the right time, the Rossoneri can seal second spot in Serie A and go far in Europe.
